ANCESTORS' NIGHT OUT.

When the ancestors left the photo frames at night ........ Away from our cramped monotony, Free from a human body & it's anatomy,  From the confines of framed existence Let us slip out to roam free, go the distance. To places unseen in earth and above, Let us fly there like a dove Wandering through the wild lands, All at our  heart's commands, Once we lived in pomp and fame, Now they arrested us in a photo frame,  Let us slip out and go for a night prowl, In to the deserted street, where dogs howl. We hear these are pandemic times, An ambulance sped past with loud chimes, With N-95 masks let's cover our faces, And get lost in city's lanes and spaces. The lost moments, let's again recapture. Hand in hand, let's run to make rapture, Where waves kiss shore  in frenzy Let us paint the town red to other's envy.  Candlelight dinner in a treetop eatery, In mirth, our eyes become watery, A night to remember, so heavenly, Dancing to the tune of heartbeat's m...

A RECLUSE, MOST OBSERVANT AND ABSORBENT.

Staring in to endless emptiness, Savoring bitter- sweet hours of loneliness, Is this night meant for torture? As I lie, bound in nostalgia's capture. I slide fast backwards in time's fast flow, In the puddle of past, looked for love's glow, Wall calender gets thinner with passing days, I tear a sheet as sun comes out to gaze. I look for no possibilities in uncertain future, Content with realities,  past days of rapture, A recluse, most observant and absorbent, But a kind of most zealous and fervent. Reminiscing those days filled with spice, When everyday meant something nice, But got lost, drifted too far from the shore, Now nothing means anything anymore. (c) K. Radhakrishnan

FAITH

Fairies, dragons and elves, Or the laughing Buddha who rests in shelf, A locket with an image of Pagan deity, An unstinting belief in their divine piety. Mythological or mind created weird entities, Evidences of past, it's lost identities, No science has conclusively disproved, With faith, mountains have been moved. We talk to Him looking at empty sky, Our faith that His seat is located so high, If we slip down from highest cliff, Any of billions of Gods will save, it's a belief. Extending to trinity or more of religions, My faith rests in all, avoiding all collisions, Sun, moon, reptiles, and insignificant insects, His all manifestations, I revere with respect. (C) K.
