HEART IS A STRANGE BEAST
It is indeed a strange beast,
Not caring to reasons, even least,
Can' t be reined in even when old,
As it alternates between being warm or cold.
With high and low tides, it rises and falls,
It rages with violent storms & squalls,
Responds to other hearts on their calls,
With love or hate, erecting dividing walls.
So fragile, that it breaks at slightest pretext,
No one knows what it is up to, moment next,
It throbs and soars often with intense joy,
Sinks with weighty emotions of its own ploy.
It expands and constricts like elastic band,
It perceives, judges and understands,
Unleashes hatred in boundless manner,
Also revels holding aloft love's banner.
