Consoling, exhilarating and appealing, Astounding, jaw- dropping, mirror- cracking Oh, beauty, thee provokes us in many ways, Compelling all to gaze at you with amaze. Some gaze at with eyes so profane, Disturbed, some regard with disdain, Some secretly admire but choose to feign, But all yields to thy boundless reign. Some are confused in their delusion, Think of a veil hidden face as another moon, What lies in the eyes of one beholder,  Not necessarily stir passion to smoulder. Every single culture has its fair share, Of unmatched beauty, I can declare, Beauty in diversity adds to our ecstasy, Bestowing to this universe euphoric serenity. With racial diversity they all enamor, They all enthrall us with their glamor, There is mystic feel about all His creations, As though sculptured & sent from heaven. FLEMISH SUMMER RAIN

Heard distant rumble of thunder, Sky recited it's poems in noisy wonder, Lamp posts cast kaleidoscope of light, Dancing across puddles, in rainy night. Town's sky wore cloak of sullen gray, Leak proof to prevent entry of moon's rays, Fluctuating between downpour & drizzle, As ice cold westerlies floated to whistle. Cobblestone street glittered with raindrops, As rain pounded with beat of hip-hop, Pattering on roof of Swiss style cottages, As some were relishing Belgian pottage. Some brave souls ventured out to dance, To beat of rain as air was filled with romance "I am singing in the rain, in the rain, What a marvellous feeling, I am happy again" © K. Radhakrishnan

BE THE BRIGHTEST STAR AMIDST THUNDER'S ROAR

Pin me down with thousand hands, Bury me so deep in sands, I will find a way to soar, Be the brightest star amidst thunder’s roar. Erect thousand walls on way to sky, I will leap over them and fly, As dark clouds float by, I won’t utter that silly sigh. My resolve to overcome all resistance, Wearing them all with persistence, I will pass milestones and distance, And add feathers to the crown of existence. Pushing ahead on untrodden road, With courage break the code, Setting  mind on positive mode, Only fears and doubts to unload. PROCESSION OF LIFE

  As festal or as sullen funeral, In highways of life, times innumerable, The procession moves as per directions, Of God, who ne'er barks instructions. Rhythm of march got drowned in the din, Of loser's groan and winner's grin, Some march on against the grain, In the untrodden path undeterred by rains. Some pied pipers lead rat race to doom, Few cheerleaders lift us from gloom, A procession without destination, In between all meet their culmination. Moments on mountain tops of mirth, Spending at warmth of love's hearth, Moments in deep valley of despair, As procession moves on life's thoroughfare. © K. Radhakrishnan

THE RELATIONSHIP EQUATION

Is it both sides absolute perfection? That sustains a loving relation, But they get caught up with infections,  Different roads with no intersection. Is it both sides combined flaws? For a break, should they be the causes? Arranged flawlessly to cling together, In fair or in the rough weather. Two personalities are like chemicals, One is diabolical & other is whimsical, Mixing and mingling to spark reaction,  Ending up in transformation or separation. There are laws of attraction, Both may melt in moment’s passion, Love is indeed a desperate addiction, Lifelong affection or eternal affliction. He is wrong for her in the right way, She is suspicious of whatever he says, Quarrels to rob them comforts of the day, How long together will they stay? The switch that ignites passion, Can get shocks and tremors in a relation, They may soar to touch peaks, Soon to tumble down to the valley of bleak. Don't get tied down by apprehensions, Carrying all attitudes of tension, Keep the fear under suspension, Just love sans inhibitions. Shake out of your shadowed dimension, Give buried feelings some redemption, Unconditionally surrender to passion, Just love sans inhibitions. Light your life in love's reflection, Heart to heart make a connection, Feel high in amorous emotion, Just love sans inhibitions. HEART IS A STRANGE BEAST

It is indeed a strange beast, Not caring to reasons, even least, Can' t be reined in even when old, As it alternates between being warm or cold. With high and low tides, it rises and falls, It rages with violent storms & squalls, Responds to other hearts on their calls, With love or hate, erecting dividing walls. So fragile, that it breaks at slightest pretext, No one knows what it is up to, moment next, It throbs and soars often with intense joy,  Sinks with weighty emotions of its own ploy. It expands and constricts like elastic band, It perceives, judges and understands, Unleashes hatred in boundless manner, Also revels holding aloft love's banner. © K. Radhakrishnan
